Border Czar Kamala Harris has been a complete failure. Now, she is rubbing salt in the wound with an incredibly dishonest ad claiming that combating the scourge of fentanyl will be a “top priority” for her.
She’s been in office for the last three and half years, with one of her key focuses on the border crisis, and what’s been the result? According to Harris and Biden's own DEA Administrator Anne Milgram, cartels are “killing Americans with fentanyl at catastrophic and record rates like we've never seen before.”
- Under Kamala Harris, illicit drugs are flowing into the country at an alarming rate, with only 5 to 10 percent being intercepted as border officials struggle to contain the smuggling. Since Kamala Harris took office, roughly 33.2 tons of fentanyl have crossed the southern border, enough to kill roughly 15.1 billion people.

Fentanyl is now the leading cause of death for Americans age 18 to 45, with the number killed by the drug up 94 percent since 2019. 112,000 fatal drug overdoses occurred in 2023, a new record high, and on average, one person in the U.S. now dies from a fentanyl overdose every seven minutes.
The only beneficiaries of Kamala’s cruel border policies have been transnational gangs and cartels. Homeland Security Investigations estimates that Mexican cartels are now making $13 billion a year smuggling illegal immigrants into the U.S., 26 times what they made in 2018. The bloodthirsty transnational gang, Tren de Aragua, is building a “criminal empire” in the U.S. because of Kamala’s border bloodbath. According to the New York Post,<> the gang “peddles a lethal fentanyl mix called Tussi or ‘pink cocaine,’” which “has grown so fast that it has so far overwhelmed both average New Yorkers and the city’s elite police force.”
Kamala’s open-border policies are responsible. Cartels are crossing the border essentially at will. Former U.S Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz testified that the U.S. does not have operational control of the entire border. As proof of that fact, more than 1.9 million gotaways have escaped past Border Patrol into the U.S. since Kamala Harris took office, with border officials saying that the official number of gotaways vastly undercounts the number who make it into the U.S.
U.S. Border Patrol Chief Jason Owens says cartels are “profiting” off the border crisis with “millions of dollars a week in revenue ... going directly into the hands of the cartels and those smugglers.”
Meanwhile, Border Patrol agents have been left demoralized and “overwhelmed” by the Harris-Biden administration's handling of the crisis. Showing her disdain for law enforcement, Kamala has never spoken with either of the past two Border Patrol chiefs. As a senator, Kamala urged the Senate not to fund additional Border Patrol personnel.
And on top of all that, the Harris-Biden administration has hamstrung the enforcement of immigration law within our country. The Harris-Biden Department of Homeland Security itself admitted that more than 40 percent of catch and release migrants have totally disappeared, and the Harris-Biden administration has failed to remove 99.7 percent of the illegal immigrants released into the interior of the U.S. Those escaping deportation include members of Tren de Aragua, including gang members under deportation order.
Kamala Harris has shown her “top priority” is opening the border. The results have been devastating. President Trump will end this national nightmare.
